1. What Vynl is

Vynl is a streaming service for AI-generated and AI-assisted music, operated by [Company legal name], [registered address]. These terms apply when you use the website, the listening app or any other Vynl service. Creators also accept the Creator Terms.

2. The beta

Vynl is in beta. Features can change, move or disappear, and the service can be interrupted. We will do our best to keep your account and your data through these changes, and to tell you about the important ones. What is live and what is still being built is shown on the roadmap.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least [16] years old.
  • Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details safe.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account.

4. Using Vynl

Vynl is for your own listening. You agree not to:

  • download, copy or record the music, or get around the protections that prevent it;
  • collect data from the service by automated means;
  • play tracks artificially, or use bots or scripts to inflate plays;
  • upload unlawful content or disturb the service or other users;
  • [use the catalog to train or evaluate AI models without written permission]

5. AI labels

Every track carries a label, AI-assisted or AI-generated, declared by its creator. Tracks are reviewed before they are published, but a label remains a declaration: Vynl does not guarantee that every one is accurate. If you think a track is mislabeled, tell us at [contact email].

6. The music

The music belongs to its creators and rights holders. Vynl gives you a personal, limited right to stream it through the service. Nothing in these terms transfers any right in the music to you.

7. Subscriptions and royalties

Paid plans and royalty payouts are not available during the beta. Before they start we will publish the prices, the billing and cancellation rules, and update these terms. How royalties are meant to work is explained on the royalties page. It describes an intention, not a promise of income.

8. Your data

We handle personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Suspension and closing your account

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we can. What happens to your data on deletion is described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Warranty and liability

During the beta the service is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will be available or error-free. Your rights as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract are not affected. [Limitation of liability, to be drafted by counsel]

11. Changes to these terms

Each version of these terms has a label. When a change matters, we will tell you and, where the law requires it, ask you to accept the new version.

12. Governing law

[Governing law and place of jurisdiction, to be confirmed by counsel]. Questions about these terms: [contact email].
